How did the successful overthrow of French colonizers lead Napoleon to sell the Louisiana Purchase to the United States in early 1803?

Question
How did the successful overthrow of French colonizers lead Napoleon to sell the Louisiana Purchase to the United States in early 1803?
A  The successful overthrow of French colonizers meant that Napoleon had to personally pay each enslaved person reparations totally $250,00 in today’s money to each person. He was then forced to sell the Louisiana Purchase to the US so that he could afford to pay these reparations.
B  Historians disagree regarding these events, but some believe that Napoleon felt that he had personally been defeated when French colonizers were overthrown and he desired to build his power-base from then on only in France.
C  Since black enslaved people in the French colony of Haiti had successfully overthrown the brutal plantation regime, Napoleon could no longer hope to restore the empire lost with France’s defeat in the French and Indian War. His vision of the area as the source for food for Haiti had failed.
D  South Carolina passed a new slave code in 1740 known as the Negro Act of 1740, which imposed new limits on enslave peoples’ behavior. This meant that many of them moved into regions like the Louisiana Purchase, which led Napoleon to sell it.
