Topic: Paper on Pathophysiology
INSTRUCTIONS: Jacob is a 14 years-old, African-American male. He is eight grades and
really enjoy school and hanging out with his friends. Jacob spends most of his free time playing video games, and has stated that he really doesn’t like sports or any outdoors activities. He has a history of mild asthma. Jacob reports eating fast food at least once
daily and stated that he typically skips breakfast. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weight 185 pounds. Jacob has come in to the pediatric office for a physical exam and his vital signs were as follows , Temp 98.2(oral), Blood pressure 128/82, pulse 80, Respiration 20, pain 0. Jacob reported “I feel like I am little overweight”. Jacob had a CBC and cholesterol test done and all of the CBC results were within normal limits, but the total cholesterol level was found to be 230. Jacob currently does not take any vitamins or supplements. He does not take any medications, other than an Albuterol inhaler that he uses occasionally for asthma symptoms.
