The project for this course is for your team to analyze a local business or do the online searching about a business you interested in, either service or manufacturing. Your analysis is to include the various operational aspects that we will be discussing throughout this course. Your progress on this project will be monitored via team updates at the checking points. Some of the key deliverables will come directly from in-class discussions. Your task will be to introduce your company in general and to identify the use of or absence of THREE various operations and supply chain management concepts/technologies/chapters we discussed in class, following with your analysis of how these impacts the company. At the end, conclusion and suggestions are expected. Much of this project is to help you understand how various operational and supply chain concepts and methods work in the ‘real’ world and / or how they might be utilized to help solve real problems. It will also help you see how different techniques may work in some situations but not others.
