Develop a section for a school handbook for both teachers and for families explaining how and why you support children and guide them. You will choose the age-range of the children (preschool-high school, your choice). Each guideline must include an explanation of why with research to support it.
To complete the assignment you must include the following:
-Your philosophy as a school on how you will support all children and families.
-a description of at least three classroom management strategies used in your school,
-a description of discipline guidelines, including if there is a bullying policy (for example, how will rules be established/enforced),
-a description of professional development opportunities for teachers to specifically respond to student behavior,
-a description of developmentally appropriate behavioral expectations, AND
how the school will offer student/family support.
Your audience for this assignment should be teachers and families. Everyone should be in full understanding of how children in any school will be supported and how challenging behavior will be responded to at school.
