Fresh Grad Lands Job as Real Estate Agent With Help from Professional Writers

People go to websites to get the information they desperately need.  They could be looking for an answer to a nagging question.  They might be looking for help in completing an important task.  For recent graduates, they might be looking for ways on how to prepare a comprehensive resume that can capture the attention of the hiring manager

Manush is a recent graduate from a prestigious university in California who is looking for a job opportunity as a real estate agent.  While he already has samples provided by his friends, he still feels something lacking in his resume.  Specifically, the he believes that his professional objective statement lacks focus and clarity.

Thus, he sought our assistance in improving editing and proofreading his resume.

In revising his resume, iwritegigs highlighted his soft skills such as his communication skills, ability to negotiate, patience and tactfulness.  In the professional experience part, our team added some skills that are aligned with the position he is applying for.

When he was chosen for the real estate agent position, he sent us this thank you note:

“Kudos to the team for a job well done.  I am sincerely appreciative of the time and effort you gave on my resume.  You did not only help me land the job I had always been dreaming of but you also made me realize how important adding those specific keywords to my resume!  Cheers!

Manush’s story shows the importance of using powerful keywords to his resume in landing the job he wanted.

Burning Man is an event that takes place each year over Labor Day in the desert in northern Nevada. On their website they say, “There are no rules about how one must behave or express oneself at this event (except the rules that serve to protect the health, safety, and experience of the community at large); rather, it is up to each participant to decide how they will contribute and what they will give to this community.” Yet despite this claim that there are no rules, there are very clear and distinct norms, ways of determining what are valuable resources and ways of distributing these. It is a great site to explore how social stability emerges, just what is the “glue” that holds society together.

Go to the website http://www.burningman.org/ to familiarize yourself with the festival.

Watch the short video “Burning Man 2014: Caravansary” (Length: 12:09) at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ze1duv8iqE
Consider the atmosphere at Burning Man where it is surprising complete chaos doesn’t break out and answer the following questions:

Briefly list the 10 principles of burning man.
What do you see as the strongest norms and values of this community? How would you describe how an order perspective would explain how these norms and values are enforced? How would you describe how a conflict perspective might explain how these norms and values are enforced?
Discuss some specific ways both the conflict and the order perspectives explain what maintains stability in that setting.
Briefly define how the order (functionalist) perspective says social stability emerges from the division of labor, in your own words. Briefly define the conflict perspective says social stability emerges from the division of labor, in your own words. Describe how the system of work (division of labor) necessary to keep the event running smoothly is organized?
What are the most important resources at this event? How might power be allocated and divided?
