Then, address the following in your Practicum Journal: 1) Describe the client and identify any pertinent history or medical information, including prescribed medications. 2) Using the DSM-5, explain and justify your diagnosis for this client. 3) Explain whether existential-humanistic therapy would be beneficial with this client. Include expected outcomes based on this therapeutic approach. 4) Explain any legal and/or ethical implications related to counseling this client. 5) Support your approach with evidence-based literature. For Part 2, reflect on your clinical supervision experiences. Then, address the following in your Practicum Journal: 6) How often are you receiving clinical supervision from your preceptor? Daily supervision of each session. 7) What are the sessions like? One hour sessions with the therapist leading the conversation with what’s currently happening, things they’ve discussed previously, and what the client needs to focus on, prior to the next visit. 8) What is the preceptor bringing to your attention? 9) How are you translating these sessions to your clinical practice?
