People go to websites to get the information they desperately need.  They could be looking for an answer to a nagging question.  They might be looking for help in completing an important task.  For recent graduates, they might be looking for ways on how to prepare a comprehensive resume that can capture the attention of the hiring manager

Manush is a recent graduate from a prestigious university in California who is looking for a job opportunity as a real estate agent.  While he already has samples provided by his friends, he still feels something lacking in his resume.  Specifically, the he believes that his professional objective statement lacks focus and clarity.

Thus, he sought our assistance in improving editing and proofreading his resume.

In revising his resume, iwritegigs highlighted his soft skills such as his communication skills, ability to negotiate, patience and tactfulness.  In the professional experience part, our team added some skills that are aligned with the position he is applying for.

When he was chosen for the real estate agent position, he sent us this thank you note:

“Kudos to the team for a job well done.  I am sincerely appreciative of the time and effort you gave on my resume.  You did not only help me land the job I had always been dreaming of but you also made me realize how important adding those specific keywords to my resume!  Cheers!

Manush’s story shows the importance of using powerful keywords to his resume in landing the job he wanted.

Essay on Attachment Theory

Topic: Essay on Attachment Theory

Instruction:

“Putting theory into practice” Paper. On “Attachment Theory”
Your final project (a six page paper) is one that involves applying what you know about a particular topic to couples (or another interpersonal relationship type like families or friends) that are having difficulty. More specifically, you need to choose a topic that couples often have difficulty with in real life and for which they may seek counseling. You need to review the literature and become an expert in this topic area and write a paper that would assist counselors in helping couples facing this issue. Your project should include a literature review where you use a minimum of FIVE (recent) outside scholarly articles (approximately 4 double spaced pages), as well as activities counselors could do with the couples to help them better manage this problem (approximately another 2 pages). You should provide an argument, based upon evidence from what you have learned in your literature review, for why your activities should be effective. Your textbook can be used as evidence, but does not count as one of these five sources. Try to “think outside the box” on this project. What might be some innovative ways for couples (or people in other interpersonal relationships) to resolve this problem that is communication based? For instance, not many counselors have couples audio or videotape some of their typical interactions. What might couples gain by videotaping themselves and analyzing how they communicate with one another? Oftentimes people aren’t aware of how they communicate with each other and the underlying sources of the problem. You may use a topic we talked about in class or something we never touched on (see end of syllabus for more information).

Theory: Attachment Theory

“Putting Theory into Practice” Guidelines

Thus, the GOAL of your project is to (1) identify a common problem or issue that couples (or other interpersonal relationships) face, (2) understand the literature on this topic or issue, (3) provide various activities or exercises that you could recommend to counselors for couples to engage in to help them better communicate with one another about this issue, and (4) provide a rationale for why you think these activities would be effective.

Your paper should include the following:
(1) An introduction where you outline the purpose of your paper
Somewhere in the front part of your essay you should address the “issue” that couples face that you are addressing and the goal of your project.
(2) A preview of how your paper will progress (one sentence usually at the end of the first paragraph)
(3) A section where you review of some of the outside scholarly literature (a minimum of FIVE outside scholarly sources) related to this topic. You can also use your textbook, but that does NOT count as one of these outside sources.
(4) A section where you link the literature to practical activities that the counselor could implement (backed up with a rationale) to help the couple better manage this issue—which needs to be communication related in some way.
(5) A conclusion.
