CAPSTONE PROJECT (Domestic Violence, Genogram, Teaching/Learning) RUBRIC
This is a final, three part project. First, write a 5-10 page APA formatted paper on domestic violence. Choose an age range/victim (rape, spouse abuse, child abuse, child sexual assault). Paper should include, but not be limited to, such concepts as family impact,
local treatment options, local services available, disease and injury risks, and more.
From that paper, then create a genogram of the victim/survivor’s family. You can find an example in your text on page 1721.
After completing that portion, create a 5-10 page APA formatted teaching project for the chosen victim/survivor. The teaching plan should include, but not be limited to, such items as safety/self-defense, addressing mood and affect issues, STD’s, and caring for
injuries.
The final portion of this project is to create a poster with the genogram and highlights of the teaching plan. Creativity is important.
